LUMINA will produce a series of deliverables turning the project ambitions into concrete results by documenting the methods, models, datasets, frameworks and strategic activities developed throughout the project.

Together, the deliverables trace the project’s progression from governance and responsible data management to multimodal data integration, Digital Twin development, laboratory-scale validation and platform integration. They also document LUMINA’s contribution to the wider EIC Pathfinder Challenge portfolio and its activities in communication, dissemination and exploitation. 

Deliverables suitable for public release

Deliverables that are suitable for public release will be made available on this page as the project progresses. Where a deliverable contains confidential, security-sensitive or protected information, the page may provide a public summary instead.

Project governance and collaboration

These deliverables establish the structures needed to coordinate LUMINA, maintain quality, manage research data responsibly and collaborate with other projects in the EIC Pathfinder Challenge portfolio.

Clinical data foundations

These deliverables establish the regulatory, technical and organisational foundations for collecting, preparing and indexing multimodal lung cancer data from the participating clinical centres.

Data integration and synthetic data

These deliverables will make diverse clinical information easier to organise, combine and use in AI development. They cover the common metadata structure and the models used to generate synthetic multimodal data.

BRONCHI Digital Twin development

These deliverables represent the central scientific and technological outputs of LUMINA. They cover the progressive development of the physics-informed models underlying the BRONCHI Digital Twin and the mechanisms used to explain their outputs.

Validation and platform integration

These deliverables bring together the data infrastructure and Digital Twin methodology and document how the resulting prototype performs in controlled laboratory-scale validation.

Communication, dissemination and exploitation

These deliverables establish LUMINA’s visual identity and communication infrastructure and guide the project’s approach to visibility, knowledge sharing, intellectual property, future development and exploitation.

From project foundations to a validated prototype

The deliverables reflect the step-by-step development of LUMINA:

  • The early deliverables establish governance, quality, data stewardship and portfolio collaboration.
  • The next phase creates the clinical data foundation, common metadata structure and synthetic data models. These outputs support the development of the PIAN models and the explainable BRONCHI Digital Twin methodology.
  • The final technical deliverables document laboratory-scale validation and integrate the BRONCHI Digital Twin and LUMINA Data Suite in a shared deployment environment.
  • Communication, dissemination and exploitation deliverables run alongside this development process, helping the consortium share knowledge and prepare the results for future research, collaboration and innovation.

LUMINA’s scope is the development and laboratory-scale validation of the core AI and machine-learning technologies at Technology Readiness Level 4. The deliverables should therefore seen rather as research outputs and prototypes, than as clinically approved tools or services.
